Closer friendships are made within brothers in respective families. In Beta Zeta, there are currently three families that derived over time. The families include the Mancusis, Haughts, and McKinley Cottrells. Brothers are sorted into their respective families during Big/Little Pairing. Additionally, each pledge gets placed with a big brother to serve as a guide during their time in Alpha Phi Omega. The Big-Little relationship helps create a stronger connection between fellow brothers, and the families help create a tighter community within the chapter.
